McLaren Formula 1 team unveils MP4-X concept car



The McLaren Formula 1 team has unveiled a concept car that it believes will provide a "conceptual vision for the future of motorsport technology".

F1 is currently discussing substantial changes to its technical regulations for the 2017 season, which will be focused on making the cars faster and more difficult to drive.

Ferrari released its own concept car in February, in the hope of "provoking" debate about how to adopt radically different car designs in the future that would make F1 more appealing to a new generation of fans.

McLaren's marketing department has now revealed its own future concept, dubbed the MP4-X, which features a closed cockpit, shrouded wheels and aggressive-looking aerodynamic surfaces.

Looks more like a Formula E car to me than F1

PRECISELY Mate, but you missed one other point.
PISS OFF Fucking "DRS" & make the Drivers earn their Overtakes, not simply sit back & wait for the DRS Zone, & get it on a Silver Platter.

Scott & I have been saying this for years.
I had watched F1 for 30 years & hardly ever missed watching a Race.
Quite frankly, now I am starting to find most of them very boring.

If they don't do something soon, they will be losing a lot more Fans IMO.

This is meant to be the absolute "PINNACLE" of Motorsport.
These days it doesn't even come close.

over the bbc who have the rights have the high lights only so can't even view live racing,but since it boring anyway who cares

and the Q1/Q3 stuff is BS

one hour every one track as many tyres as you want re fuel turbos V12s no computers in the car ,no triptranc gears ,old stick shift ,ni TC/ABS ,go old school fans be back
